Hill International provided project management consultant (PMC) services to Qatar Railway for the Doha Metro Phase 1 Green Line Underground project. The Green Line is 32 KM of twin bored tunnels from the heart of Doha City Centre old town area at Msherireb, the main nodal hub, passing through surrounding dense urban areas transitioning to an elevated track as it travels to the suburban city limits. It also includes construction of six urban stations, two switchboxes, one crossover box, tunnel portal, and six tunnel ancillary structures plus 32 cross passages between the tunnels. My responsibilities were:
Prequalify the Subcontractors, who are involved in Provisional Sum packages
Review the accuracy of all Tender Plans prior to recommend to Qatar Rail for approval
Assess the ITT for Provisional Sum Packages
Organize and participate tender opening for Provisional Sum packages and minute the same.
Supporting Technical Evaluation team regarding the Contractual requirements of the Tender
