2. Schedule a Viewing:

We’re happy to arrange a viewing so you can see your new home in person. Call our office, and we’ll set up a convenient time for you to tour the unit. Viewings are available between 9:15 am – 4:00 pm.

3. Gather Your Documents: To complete the leasing process, please prepare the following:

Proof of income for all household members

Identification for all household members

Social security numbers (or verification of ineligibility, if applicable)

All income information

4. Lease Signing:

Once you confirm your acceptance and update income, we’ll schedule a time for you to sign the lease and pay the security deposit of $50 or $100 via cashier’s check or money order (the amount of deposit depends on the specific property). We’re here to guide you every step of the way.

Don’t Miss Out!

This unit is in high demand, so please move quickly! We don’t want you to miss the chance to make this your new home. If we don’t hear from you by (3 days), we will need to move forward with offering the unit to the next applicant.

DCHA will consider the unit rejected if the applicant fails to (1) view the unit or (2) fails to provide a decision within three (3) days. DCHA will make one additional offer when another unit of the correct bedroom size becomes available. If this is your second and final unit offer, no other will be made, and your name will be withdrawn from the waiting list.
