PROFESSIONAL OBJECTIVE:
A challenging and responsible position in maintenance department where I have 44 years of experience in the maintenance field, 5 year as a Boilermaker, Welder, Layerout apprentice, 2 years field construction, 18 years as a maintenance supervisor/planner, 19 years as a Maintenance Sr. Supervisor. Accomplishments:Freeport-McMoRAN:
Anode Plant: Anode Wheel Rebuild
1997 Planned and Project managed the rebuild of the Treadwell Anode Wheel, oversaw the project by planning the project for start to finish, procured manpower, materials, equipment and tools needed to complete the rebuild. Rebuild was scheduled for 21 days completed in 16 days.
As a Sr. Maintenance Supervisor of converter maintenance, I oversaw 5 maintenance supervisors, 50 hourly employees and 40 contract employees.
$10 to 12 million annual rebuilds consisting of repairing/replacing of converter steel shell, replacing brick linings, replacing gearboxes, aligning and leveling converters, task training Freeport-McMoRAN hourly employees how to align and level converters. Repairing and replacing of 36” S.S. duct, slide gates and butterfly valves.
Acid plant maintenance:
Supervised one maintenance supervisor and 8 hourly employees and planner, Planned, Project Managed and assisted the acid plant Operations Sr. Supervisor with the annual acid plant shutdown, replacement of 900 HP electric motors, 72” center hung fans and housings scheduled for 15 days, completed in 11 day. Also oversaw the rebuilds of the Lewis vertical acid pumps, horizontal pump, split casing pumps, Denver horizontal pumps, oversaw the scheduling of the daily work plan.
Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)
Lead a team of 5 RCM Techs ensured that they received the proper training and that the certifications were up to date insured that all data collection equipment was sent out a recalibrated and certified yearly.
Was owner of the Freeport Miami Property Natural Gas System, oversaw the annual gas survey, inspection of gas piping, and overseeing the repairs of gas leaks on all the natural gas lines throughout the property and documented all the repairs, and replacement of the piping system from ” to 6” pipe.
