SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE
May 2023 to Present, New Mexico Center for Pain and Wellness, Medical Assistant. Monitor Assigned phone lines and ensure a response time of maximum 4 business hours. Check voicemails upon arrival in the morning and throughout the day, ensuring to clear all before leaving at the end of the day. Monitor messages in EHR and follow up as required Notify patients of their test results when needed or instructed by the physician to do so. Once notified of the parent’s arrival by Reception, room the patient in an efficient and timely manner. If the appointment is via telemedicine, ensure patients have instructions to join. Explain to the patient what is to be done during the visit (i.e. vitals, applicable tests, scope of the appointment, limitans, etc.) and ask if they have questions. Notify the provider of any patient concerns. Coordinate prior authorizations for medicants, and imaging among patient, provider, and pharmacy. Coordinate medication follow-up among patient, provider, pharmacy. Coordinate additional work-up as required to obtain prior authorization for procedures.
