Description: Ballester Hermanos Inc. is a leader in the distribution of food, alcohol, and personal care items in the Caribbean market and has recently expanded into Central America. As part of the Digital Transformation and Modernization Project of BHI, the company aims to transition most of its technical portfolio from on-premises structures to a cloud-based (“Managed Services”) structure. Capgemini conducted an end-to-end supply chain assessment for BHI, identifying multiple opportunities and initiatives to help BHI achieve its modernization and technology goals.

As a part of Aetna’s Legal Businesses strategic which includes multiyear initiatives like SSN Encryption, Enable Single Sign-on, incorporate branding standards, SDM and small enhancements, replace their existing enrollment system with a new modernized solution etc. Explore any potential process re-engineering opportunities along with streamlining the production support, process automation, perform analysis to create future requirements and prepare user manual documents.

Project 2: Re-write of Accounting and Reporting Application

Key objective of this project is to replace one of the Aetna’s legacy financial reporting repositories with a more sophisticated and modernized accounting and reporting capability application. This system will interface with multiple core domains such as Membership, Billing, Plan, Claims, etc. in order the support a defined set of accounting and reporting capabilities which including various downstream vendor interfaces.

Project 3: Agile Transformation of Broker Commissions domain

As a part of this initiative, Aetna was migrating its producer enrollment data from one onboarding application to another. Besides the migration itself, this area was adopting Agile delivery framework (from legacy waterfall). The BA support involved not only documenting the project requirements, but also converting them onto Agile user stories /acceptance criteria to align with the Agile SCRUM guidelines.
