Notably responsible for budget development and the oversight of all renovation projects. Developed new leases for rental spaces within hospital and hospital-owned buildings, which increased revenue by 20%. Developed new off-site physician buildings by utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite and Rio Project to ensure each facet was timely and within budgetary restrictions. Supervised the activities of the construction management firm, architects, engineers and other consultants as part of the hospital’s major expansion program. Successfully handled all outside regulatory agencies by coordinating timetables and deadlines between State Health Department, Fire Safety and Building Inspectors as well as banking construction consultants. Responsible for the overall operation, personnel, regulatory compliance and budget for a Plant-Engineering Department of a 650,000 square-foot, 250-bed hospital. Participated in the planning process for achieving a hospital-wide energy conservation initiative that resulted in a cost savings of $1 million. Coordinated efforts with contractors and hospital administration in regard to the planning of major renovations for an inpatient unit without disruption to patient care. Streamlined Infection Control and Life Safety programs in order to meet requirements of regulatory agencies such as JCAHO, CMS and DPH. Developed and implemented a building management program to ensure hospital-wide life safety precautions were maintained.

Assisted in the research, development and implementation of equipment design necessary to manufacture influenza vaccine. This resulted in an identified $350,000 cost savings within the first year. Coordinated efforts to prepare for successful FDA and DPH surveys. Designed and planned a 54,000 square-foot vaccine manufacturing facility.
