Hello and thank you for taking time to review my resume and cover letter. I am looking for either a recruiting position or an administrative position.
In total, I have ten years of recruiting experience and twenty years of experience as an Administrative/Executive Assistant, and Word Processor
For twenty years I held administrative positions in a number of industries such as banking, legal, accounting, real estate, architecture, entertainment, medical, nonprofit, and others.
I began my career as an Executive Sales Recruiter for a company called Aspire Careers and eventually became an Account Manager for several high-producing accounts. Here I recruited outside and inside sales reps. for a wide variety of industries including medical device, dental device, pharmaceutical, HR outsourcing, advertising, telecommunications, office supplies, building supplies, and the storage industry. I also spent three-years recruiting retail District Managers and Store Managers from a wide variety of retail industries including fashion, grocery, auto, hobby, home furnishings, etc.
I then took a job at Keystone Management, this time as a Corporate Recruiter. Keystone owned and managed apartment buildings and retail shopping malls in Los Angeles and New York. As the company’s only Recruiter, I was responsible for the entire recruiting process until the final interview which was conducted by the President and myself. Here I updated the Job descriptions, placed ads on job boards, sourced the resumes, conducted phone and in-person interviews, conducted background checks and job verifications, and debriefed the President on every candidate prior to the final interview. I hired every level in the company from Controller to Maintenance Technician.
After being laid-off due to COVID-19, I completed a seven-month contract position at Sylvan Road Real Estate. This company is in the SFR (single-family rental) side of the real estate industry. Sylvan Road was on a two-year mission to double the size of the company. I was brought in to help with a massive onboarding of 150+ new employees. This position allowed me the opportunity to recruit for new and exciting roles in the fields of finance, business intelligence and analytics.
My most recent position was a seven-month contract position with General Atomics. This company was a defense contractor that built RPA’s (Remotely Piloted Aircraft), EMALS (Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System), AAG’s (Advance Arresting Gear), as well as satellites, and other military technology. Here I was given the challenge of working for the Contracts and Procurement Department recruiting a large number niche positions that required specific knowledge of both the defense industry and government regulations (FAR/DFAR). I was also given the opportunity to recruit for the Facilities Department sourcing a wide variety of positions including, Building Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Truck Drivers, Cooks, Custodians, and Shipper Receivers.
The fact that I have worked as both an outside recruiter as well as a Corporate Recruiter has provided me with a unique perspective as well as the opportunity to navigate a wide variety of positions and industries. These experiences have ultimately made me a better recruiter.
