Professional Summary
I have worked in the UN system for over 17 years, and being under finance department which allowed regular interactions on budgetary, reconciliation and disbursement matters with sundry projects under a given programme (s) it gives one an all-rounder trait which is suitable for such jobs of possible different profiles.
I believe my experience in the supervisory positions and also the vast number of years in Finance / Accounting field during my working period broods vital values demanded by a responsible position which includes, diligence and integrity. This would also serve as an asset on matters policies and project management. Due to my exposure with various types of organizations and dealing with staff members and clients / customers both of different cultures and internationals, it allows one to easily interact and have good working / public relationship respectively. Coupled with these traits; my qualifications and knowledge on information / computer systems, my management abilities in matters reporting, are duly enhanced.
Experience
From Jan 2017 to current: Entrepreneurship in farming activity - Self employed
Duties include;
Ensure day-to-day operations are carried on
Managing the Agricultural calendar (From the time of planting, weeding, and harvesting to the period of the selling of crop/s)
Plan finances and production to maintain farm activities and labour salary
Market and sell the farm's products
Buying of supplies, such as fertiliser and seeds
Arrange/manage the maintenance and repair of farm buildings, and equipment
Supervising, mentoring and monitoring farm labourer
Maintain and monitor the quality of yield, whether livestock or crops
Assessing and monitoring the implications of the weather and make contingency plans if need be
Monitor animal health and welfare, including liaising with vets incase of any case
apply health and safety standards across the farm estate
Keep financial records up to date
Assesing / anticipating agricultural market trends and act as dictated
From Oct. 1998 to Dec 2016: Finance Assistant at UNDP-Kenya;
Duties include;
facilitating accounting transactions,
record-keeping and
providing relevant finance reports on request and on regular basis
Attending to the organisational clients on matters of finance
Compilation and billing of financial services rendered to, and/or on behalf of the other agencies.
From Nov 1993 to Sep 1998: Accounts Assistant at Shelter-Afrique
Duties include;
Input of accounting transactions.

Monitor expenditure vis-a-vis the budget
From Mar 1992 to Oct 1993: Accountant / Head Cashier at Dinners Club International, Nairobi Kenya
Duties include;
Cash management at bank and office level,
Preparing accounts and cashflows.
It also included supervisory of the senior cashiers in all three branches.

Accomplishments
I have had stints as Officer a.i. in both of Human Resource (HR) unit and General Service Unit which harbours Procurement and Protocol sections. I have been adequately exposed to all aspects of not only Finance and budget matters but its related links in project and program management, which I am sure gives me an all-round experience that would be an asset to any position.
I have served in UNDP as a
member of Promotion and Appointment Panel;
member of the Local Salary Survey Committee (LSSC),
Assistant Treasurer and a Secretary of the UNDP Joint Staff Association Assistant.
Together with my day to day responsibilities this has exposed me to interact with both staff / management and clients at all levels.

I have been involved in community activities:
1.in the Anglican Church Nairobi Diocese and our local church ministry(ies) for over 20 years whereI have served as :
A Synod member of the supreme body of the Nairobi Diocese of Anglican Church of Kenya.
Headed the Teens Curriculum Development Team tasked with doing the next one year manual for the mentors (Teens teachers)
Chairman of the Finance and General Purpose Committee, St. Veronica Church Nairobi, Kenya.
Committee member of the Education and Parish Council Committees.
2.In the Residential activities; a Riverbank Estate Phase II Committee Chairman.
