Perform all roles and responsibilities required to Project Engineer for oil &gas Project. Ensure that the construction, civil, building and E &I work are constructed in accordance with drawings and specification and Control Act and Regulations.
Monitor and report on the progress of works, Carry out inspection of civil, structural & E & I engineering works prior to concreting or subsequent construction works, Check and assess temporary works and ERSS by the contractors to ensure that the C & S /E & I Topside Modules works are safe and in compliance with all relevant regulations, Carry out inspection on defects rectification works.
Carry out supervision and inspection of the work as directed by the QP (S), SRE, consultants or Superintendent Officer. Manage and supervise the Resident Technical Officers under his charge. Ensure the records of all civil, structural, E& I engineering works, including records of test, defect rectification inspection, work progress, material and equipment on site, safety etc. are updated in a timely manner & proper kept.
Verify all reports and claims relating to C & S and E & I work submitted by the contractors. Maintain proper and updates daily records of all works done including records done including test & inspections, status of work, safety, site diary, materials on site and equipment on site, labour force, day works, provisional items or provisional qualities. Etc. Keep accurate records and variations as instructed or approved by the superintendent officer & to maintain a set of update drawing on site.
Inspect and intake over completed works and report defects. Check all drawings (including shop-drawings, construction drawings, and specification fordiscrepancies, address any non-compliance with the contractors & to report to the Supervision QP, consultants. Adhere to the shift duty roster assigned. Attend QA/QC meeting, monitor and ensure quality on all works being carried out.
Prompt response and input to any technical clarifications/data required from other engineering disciplines and other departments/vendors/client.Prioritizing and optimizing work as requested by member of other disciplines. Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures. Prepare, Review and comments on design of mechanical & electrical philosophies, hook-up details. Electrical & Instrumentation layout drawing for equipment and other system. Review comments from certifying authorities (such as ABS, DNV, SOLAS, MODU, etc.) (including safety aspects). Participate in PEER & PDMS review. Interfacing with vendor, various department and client. Ensure requirement for E & I (including power generation distribution system & instrumentation) equipment. Review and comment plans for FAT and participate in such tests. Ensure project safety and quality. Interface with operation and construction team to ensure the acceptance design. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability and effectively communicate with internal & external customers. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining appositive attitude andproviding exemplary customer service.
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instruction given, prescribed routines and standard acceptance practice. Well verse IEC, IEEE, API standard.
Support as and promotes all areas of HSE criteria with the In-Country Cooter –parts (Coordinate with Out-of-Country HSE Management).
Supports both the Construction Manager and the Lead Construction Engineer on all ongoing aspects of the project.
