ECS/POS Clams Submission Specialist, Electronic Data Systems, Inc. (EDS)

I started as the Receptionist, was promoted to the Inquiry Department and was later promoted to the Electronic Claims Submission Department as the ECS/POS Claims Submission Specialist. The Inquiry Dept. handled all phone calls to EDS regarding eligibility of all Alabama Medicaid recipients; as well as helping Alabama Medicaid providers get their claims paid if they had any issue with denials. As the ECS/POS Claims Submission Specialist, I handled the electronic claims submission for all of the Alabama Medicaid providers. In addition, when Alabama moved from paper eligibility cards to a credit card type eligibility card I was the MACSAS/POS tester. Any time we had to update the system, it wasn't brought back online until I ran through every conceivable scenario to ensure there were no issues or problems with our system.
