EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Dree in Psychology earned at Texas A & M Corpus Christi in May 1994; Associates Degree in early childhood development and education at Del Mar College, Corpus Christi. I completed all but 6 hours of my masters, but had to walk away when my oldest son passed away to focus on my other three children.
August 2024 to present:
TruFit Athletic Club, Bryan, Texas; 979/823-0971 – work as front desk clerk assisting members with check in and their purchase of drink items, as well as assist with some memberships and other tasks.
January 2024 to August 2024:
Big Lots, College Station, Texas; 979/696-0327 – work as cashier and customer service position, assisting customers with product location and check out.
From May 2019 to present:
Ralph Steele, PHD, 817/729-0543 - Bedford, Texas - I have done contract work for Dr. Steele over the years, including probate, wills, trusts and business matters. This has been on an as needed basis only. I still assist Dr. Steele on an as needed basis.
From September 2021 to December 2022, I worked various contract positions, including working with the Mayer Law Firm, Chamblee & Ryan, Stopper & Associates, and a brief stay at the Justice Law Firm as well. Working at all firms as a paralegal.
December 2021 to March 2022 – Justice Law Firm, Southlake, Texas 817/946-2472– assist family law attorneys with divorces, child custody, and various other family matters. I did not feel comfortable enough with family law and felt it kept me from doing the best possible job. Supervisor, Tracey Justice
June 2021 to September 2021 – McKibban Firm, Corpus Christi, Texas 361/882-6611 – served as paralegal assisting attorney with insurance defense matters, preparing discovery responses, and propounding discovery, as well as assisting with other pleadings. Scheduling and calendaring deadlines. Left this position to move back to the DFW area. Supervisor, James McKibban
September 2020 to June 2021 – Bandas Law Firm, Corpus Christi, Texas 469/609-1426 – served as paralegal assisting one attorney with Plaintiff cases, propounding discovery, answering discovery, and more as needed. March 2020 to June 2020 – Alan Tinsley, Madisonville, Texas 936/348-2601 – temporarily served as legal assistant to attorney assisting with real estate dealings, probate matters, including preparation of Wills, family law matters, as well as personal injury cases, while temporarily residing in Madisonville assisting family. January 2019 to July 2019 – Peavler Briscoe, Grapevine, Texas 214/999-0550 – assisted attorneys with handling of self-insured defense cases, including preparation of pleadings, propounding discovery and responding to discovery, prepared correspondence, and assisted clients directly. April 2013 to January 2019 – Ekvall & Byrne, Dallas, Texas; 972/239-0839– served as legal assistant assisting with insurance defense matters, propounding discovery, client meetings to review discovery and preparing answers for attorney review, calendaring deadlines, draft pleadings, assist with preparing clients for deposition, trucking litigation for Ryder Trucking and deposition and trial preparation to assist attorney. February 2003 to April 2012 – Fee, Smith, Sharp & Vitullo, Dallas, Texas 972/934-9100 – served as legal assistant to partner, Bryan Reese, and his associates. Prepared pleadings, propounded discovery, responded to discovery, conduct client meetings, and more. Trial preparation and preparation for deposition. Worked personally with adjusters from Elephant Insurance, TGA, and more. Left to take a better opportunity position. Supervisor, Bryan Reese
I have also worked with various firms both in the DFW area, as well as in Corpus Christi, Texas prior to 1996.
I have worked numerous charity events, from planning from the ground up to promoting (marketing) the event and overseeing the event for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, Grapevine Heritage AMBUCS, the Grapevine VFW, and the Children’s Craniofacial Association, as well as assist owner, Cliff Siler with events at his fitness facility, The Texas Back Lot.
