Over see the daily operations for the clinic, from preparing patients for doctor to assigning staff to doctors and making sure clinic runs smoothly. Duties include suture removal, staple removal, cast removal, drawing up injections, fitting durable medical equipment, chart prep for several doctors. Covering staff for lunch breaks, days off, making schedule weekly, and organizing weekly staff meetings. Ordering supplies and assisting front desk when needed. Check in/out, collecting copays, payments, scheduling/rescheduling appointments. Obtaining all tests from outside facilities and ensuring they are in charts for doctors to read.

Ear, Nose and Throat of South Eastern Connecticut 2014-2017

Medical Assistant duties included; preparing patients for doctors by achieving Ht. Wt. Bmi, drawing up medications for Minor surgeries in office, and assisting doctor with procedure. Labeling specimen, creating requisition to be sent to lab, applying diagnosis and procedure codes. Setting up scopes for clean outs, and numbing patients before doctors exam. The use of electronic systems to view labs, print and scan paperwork for chart preparation with referrals for appointments. Make sure rooms are stocked and supplies are ordered.
