Web Content Manager: USDA/NIFA April 2020 – Present Fully Remote: Washington D.C./Kansas City, Mo. (Ctr. DSFederal, Inc., Rockville, MD)
Working as a contractor for National Institute of Food and Agriculture (USDA), I’m part of a small team that maintains the NIFA website using Drupal CMS. Duties include updating pages, uploading and editing videos, and creating custom graphics, ensuring site content is 508 compliant, posting blog posts and press releases, managing site errors using Siteimprove reporting tool, being available to agency personnel who have questions on best way to display and manage content. I work closely with communications staff to ensure the agency’s goals are met and daily operations proceed effectively and efficiently. Assisted in managing transition from Drupal 7 to 9: updated all web graphics and worked extensively to troublshoot templates and web applications.

Currently in development, this site contains robust and timely content in support of racial and equity discussions and programs, including electronic books and website tools for interactive conversations on race.
