The company had a major issue with boring bars that would break during manufacturing process. I found a better way to cut and align the tool so they would not break, which saved the company money and production time.
Troubleshot problems on my own, without the need to call for a service tech. This ensured less down time and higher production.
When a colleague passed away, I took on his duties in addition to my own. I was able to handle both jobs without major increase overtime.
Trained other employees in the operations of the CNC lathe. These individuals typically earned good to above average rating on performance reviews.
I’m able to make edit in program according to specifications and blueprints.
Supervisors commended my ability to work independently and my reliability. I never turned in a job that was not fully complete as best I could.
Frequently came in early and stayed late, especially when there were deadlines to be met.
I was able to set up and begin machine operations for the day within one hour, a task that would take other operators three hours.
Joined the safety committee in 2006. As a member of this team, the company achieved a record of three years accident free.
Became an indispensable part of the production team. Work orders and overall production tended to decrease when I was away; I would catch up on this work when I returned by putting in extra time to resolve problems.
