As a maintenance supervisor at Chrysler's Kenosha Engine Plant I supervised skilled tradesmen. This line of work has expanded greatly. Took care of crew sheets on a daily basis. This included granting paid absence allowance days. Monitor our Total Maintenance System which was our method of tracking two types of work tickets: preventative (planned) and maintenance dispatch (breakdowns). The planned tickets often required me to order the parts needed to do the job. The maintenance dispatch tickets were called in over the radio. Responded by getting the right tradesmen on the job. As I grew in this position my intuition prompted me to ask to be moved around the various departments of our plant and soon I was well-known throughout the plant. Asked by our Senior Manufacturing Manager to run the entire 3rd shift by myself. Also filled in as acting area manager during transitional periods. 1 Actively participated in Partners in Quality to improve process methods 2 Learned to follow Lean manufacturing Principles
3 Chairman of Total Maintenance System- Headline, Head Assembly, and Block line departments 4 Active member of the Confined Space Rescue team
5 State certified in CPR
