As a Roving Tech 2 I have had a wonderful experience of being on multiple properties and working with many people on all the sites. I have had a positive impact on the operational goals, by completing needed tasks whether repairs or turning units resulting in quality product for the customer.

CERTIFICATIONS:

Relevant Experience:

Medtox Laboratories 402 W County Road D., New Brighton, MN 55112 651-***-****

Analytical Instrument Repair Technician/Facility Manager

Company does drug testing nationally and does both testing for drugs of abuse as well as clinical drug testing. As the onsite technician I was responsible for maintenance of lab systems as well as building repairs and maintenance.

Facility management of 50k sq ft facility, HVAC repair, electrical, plumbing, remodeling,

When a remodel project was to be done (approx. yearly) I was responsible for:

Drawing in scale the old plan and creating a new plan based on input form needed managers

Have meetings with the managers to show and modify and ultimately get approval of the new plan

Calculate an approx. cost of the project and submit to upper management for approval

Act as general contractor and have my contractors review the plan and give me a quote on their cost to do the needed scope of work.

Get the final approval and get the plan to the architect for final drawings to submit for permits

Create a schedule of who was needed on what day throughout the project.

Oversee the contractors work and facilitate what was needed on any given day.

When not doing remodeling, I had 40+ rooftop units that myself and 1 other person had to keep running both heat and cooling. I also was the person who created a different way of providing vacuum to the lab areas by using a water based vacuum pump and piping the vacuum throughout the lab area so that we could eliminate the use of small single stage vacuum pumps that frequently would fail. I also created a way to use compressed air to reduce the use of compressed gasses for instrumentation that need oxygen and nitrogen generators to extract purified nitrogen and oxygen.
