Over 38 years of success in demanding positions all centered on construction of small retail buildings to commercial hotels, small to mid-range chemical plants, and finally midrise condo complexes as construction manager to project superintendent and project manager. My passion is commercial construction especially from ground breaking to final turn over to owner. Traveling commercial construction site superintendent Brought in to build a Marriott high end hotel in a small town area. Yer city is known for being difficult to work with was able to start the job from the ground up and complete till CO and till punch list is done. Responsible for ensuring sub contractors complete work according to the drawing. Work with the city on inspections and RFI documentation. The day to day operation of the construction site and ensuring compliance with city ordinances, code and guidelines from the brand. Work with the architect and men engineers to ensure all guidelines are followed. Responsible for weekly safety meetings and. Coordination meetings. I am responsible for the day to day construction on site with coordination from the subcontractors, city, state, and brand standards. Ensure that compliance to city ordinances, codes and guidelines are followed but not limited to scope, safety practices, and working with other sub to reach the goal of completing them in a timely fashion. Responsible as a manager for all phases of large commercial project like hospital, hotels, churches and small market centers from beginning of plan development to completion. Responsible for areas involving but not limited to subs, budgets, schedules, architects, design, permits, and all other items to reach completion on time and under budget. The liaison between the subcontractors and owner agents and was responsible for completing all A101 documents for each subcontractor including change orders and payments based on completion. In charge of ensuring that the budget of the project was followed and answered questions when not in compliance. Responsible to explain to contractors the drawings, methods of completing and ensure that compliance was done to meet local and state guidelines. Actively involved with the local and state agencies including inspectors and other authorities as requested to ensure compliance with all guidelines. These groups included but where not limited to fire marshal, OSHA, EPA, and Health Department. Projects budget range from 500,000 dollars to 5 million per project. Between large projects did some tenant build outs, and two restaurants from ground up.
