EXPERIENCE

CONSOR ENGINEERS, San Francisco, CA December 2022 to Present

Senior Scheduler

Programs most often used with an expert level proficiency include Primavera (P6 20.1), MS Project, vPlanner, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Bluebeam, Schedule Comparison, Change Inspector, and other programs. Daily tasks involve several high-profile client projects in government public works, including:

Aviation (SFO’s $2.6B Terminal 3 West Expansion) – scheduling consultant between client SFO and the contractor, Turner. Reviewed baseline submittals until an acceptable spec compliant baseline schedule was achieved. Maintenance involves leading schedule update meetings, reporting on contractual milestones, interpreting technical scheduling data, and providing sequencing strategies with recommendations for stakeholders, saving several months of time on the projected substantial completion date.

Parking structures (County of Alameda - City of Dublin Transit Center) – assigned to mitigate potential time impacts on the $24M, 8 level (with 3 underground) parking structure. Successfully implemented an alternative utility workaround sequence, saving 4 months on the previously planned project completion date.

Water/wastewater treatment plants (East Bay Municipal Utility District, Rinconada) – As the scheduling consultant between the Flatiron and East Bay Municipal Utilities District (EBMUD) $242M spec 2128 project, conducted baseline schedule analysis to acceptance, leads periodic update review meetings, and reports upon time impact mitigation. In the South Bay, these same responsibilities are performed for the $220M phases 3-5 work on the Rinconada Water Treatment Plant built by Kiewit for Santa Clara Valley Water. A particularly unique challenge is managing access through the operational areas, and work constrained to blackout/low flow periods to hit these moving targets and avoid scheduling gaps.

Light/commuter rail (BART, Caltrain) - Applies project controls scheduling and cost control on several projects at the programmatic level. Also used previous Power BI experience to develop fully cost/schedule integrated dashboards for the Joint Powers Board (JPB). Improved department communication by revising planning procedures to account for the risks associated with environmental permitting and utilities work.

Medical centers (Santa Clara Valley Medical Center – Behavioral Hazard Services Center renovations) – Heading design scheduling for the Architectural and Engineering teams. Leading schedule meetings to keep the team cognizant of complicated relationships and other constraints to avoid bottlenecks.

Analysis/preparation of time impact analysis (TIA) claim delays and heading mitigation efforts, such as that on the Oroville Dam Spillway, involving a misunderstanding of excusable/non-excusable delays relative to being compensable or non-compensable.

Participation in pull planning and training sessions for on-site clients is another daily function.

Project controls time/cost led successes include what-if schedules to test alternatives, simulating work around plans in anticipation of utility access restrictions, and resequencing trades work to move with better synchronization, saving hundreds of days of project time, and more than $10M in combined project costs when comparing as-built and archival data.
