Injection-Molding Experience Note:

I was employed by Inland-Fisher Guide, a previous GM component division which designed and manufactured most interior and exterior components for GM's cars and trucks. I gained most of my knowledge of plastics working there. The following is a list of example products: front and signal lighting assemblies, bumper systems including fascias and energy absorbers, aero packages, spoilers and wheel flares, instrument panels, door trim panels, consoles, steering wheels, inside mirrors, etc. I have worked with numerous plastics including acrylic, polycarbonate, nylon, polypropylene, polyethylene, and various urethanes, EPDMs, polyesters, and with various fillers including carbonates, glass, mica, and other minerals. The processes included injection molding, single-color and multiple-color tooling, insert-molding, compression molding, and reaction-injection molding (RRIM), extrusions, vacuum-forming, painting, chrome-plating, and aluminizing. My experience was gained over 20 years in manufacturing and product engineering. Additionally, I worked closely with Tool Engineering on tool designs and fabrication to verify tools would produce the products as intended.
