Sumitomo Sitix Silicon, Inc. - Process Engineer 1997-2001
Silicon substrate and epitaxial wafers for discrete semiconductor industry. Identified and resolved process efficiency problems and led TPM team through successful implementation, resulting in
$1.1 M of annual cost savings. Developed solution for repeated induction coil failures, implemented solution on all vertical reactors, wrote standard procedures and trained personnel in installation and maintenance. Project provided 100% elimination of failures. TPM team awarded “Best of Year” in house, and competed the Ohio Manufacturers Association regional team competition.

Servo scanning laser micrometers. Provided domestic and international market
expansion by designing and developing prototype laser servo scanner for multi-line
extrusions. Merging new diode technology with existing products for unique applications.
Aerotherm Corporation – Staff Mechanical Engineer 1991-1992 Wright Patterson AFB, lab support for laser hardened materials. Discovered novel
solution to laser gas dynamics problem allowing implementation of patentable cost saving
technology to the facility lasers. Designed and installed facility structural modifications.
Wind Tunnel Models - Krug International, Beta Industries Inc., Dynamic Engineering, Inc. Project Engineer – Wind tunnel models for the government and aerospace industries. Led team of five design engineers in the development and production of, precision wind tunnel models. Projects include dynamic wind tunnel models, special machines and biomedical instruments. Hired and led a team of three engineers and designers and seven shop personnel to successfully develop a series of prototype biomedical suture staple guns.
