Interview Coordinator and Data Analyst Defense Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Education Consortium (DSEC) Alumni Studies
● In March 2019, the U.S. Department of Defense awarded RTI with the 5-year DSEC project to create a consortium of STEM providers and evaluate the impact on broadening participation in STEM and STEM careers, particularly in the U.S. Department of Defense.
● Designs and implements the alumni studies to track the impact of multiple STEM providers on alumni’s awareness of, attitudes toward, and interest in STEM and STEM careers.
● Implements interviews and surveys; analyzes interview data.
● Creates qualitative instruments and protocol for longitudinal studies.
● Contributes to literature reviews and publications. Research Analyst NY BHCP Formative Media Evaluation Focus Groups
● RTI conducted focus groups to gain a better understanding of primary care providers’ (PCPs) and behavioral health care providers’ (BHCPs) beliefs and perceptions about tobacco-use cessation for patients with serious mental illness, media messaging preferences, preferred information sources, and general receptivity to media messaging.
