Became the point person for the JIB manager in assisting internal auditing in becoming SOX compliant while transitioning from a private to a public company. Started with basic general ledger duties cleaning up all fixed assets for Newfield's business unit in accordance with COPAS & Newfield materials management standards.
Reconciled yard counts weekly.
Tracked & reported sales tax accrual quarterly. Then given increased responsibility in joint interest billing as Newfield began to down-size their company. Managed cost codes, process improvement, pre-inventory
& hard-closed AFE's. Also provided cost accounting for all drilling & completions field office including organizational charts & well reconciliations. Was knowledgeable on coding
& operational processes regarding but not limited to: geosciences, major workover's, major repairs, artificial lift, drilling & well completions. JIB analyst for hard closed AFE's, completions, reporting, reconciliations, AFE credits & sales tax credits. Special projects. Ad-hoc reporting.
