Responsible for answering the main phone line for the department and acts as initial contact for Human Resources office visitors. Provides accurate messages from contacts.

Provided advertising, recruitment, screening, interviewing and when applicable testing of applicants.

Ensured that requisitions and employment files are processed in accordance with policies and procedures.

Responsible for answering inquiries regarding job openings and the intake of employment applications assuring that applications are complete and appropriately directed to openings.

Accurately logs or uploads all incoming paper applications to an online hiring platform.

Coordinated and reviewed background checks, testing, physicals, and other pre-employment procedures to assure compliance with employment standards and applicable federal and state laws including but not limited to ADA, EEO and USERRA.

Responsible for maintaining employee data in City works, including but not limited to, entering new hires, updating wages and positions, and inactivating employees.

Accurately maintains job codes and job description files. Ensures all new positions, job codes, and descriptions are entered into both Insight and Onboard in the Neogov system.

Responsible for responding to and completing verifications of employment in a timely manner.

Responsible for accurately recording and depositing direct insurance premium payments from employees, retirees, and COBRA continuants.

Responsible for initiating the collection of notifications as required.

Kept the Human Resources Director informed of inquiries, concerns and complaints from employees, applicants and citizens related to Human Resources responsibilities.
