During the time of difficult and time sensitive works and Projects, I can with other departmental
workers and company stakeholders deliver Important Projects on time as I always had doing in my Previous work. As a true professional, I’m always seeking to improve existing ways of working and increase my skills and knowledge in the field I am working in. Work Experience
I am a Forestry engineer and was working as a
Forester in a region of Bulgaria for more than
four/4/ years before I have come in UK, near the
capital city-Sofia, Pirdop. In General, the following are the areas where I had been working in the
Forestry sector:
• I had been carrying out with the working-
team, forest inventories in the forest fields to
get an estimate of the total timber volume.
• Preparation from the given Forest Projects of
the Forest-site, Planning of timber Harvesting
and Production for the given year or season.
And determining the type of thinning or
harvesting methods and techniques.
• Planning and considering Environmental
assessment, Health and safety issues which
will be applied during the time of various
Forest operations and cutting.
• Estimating timber product assortments, in
cubic meters or percentages of wood-Pulps,
Industrial woods and pallet, sawlog, firewood
etc.
• Marking of trees in the forests according to
the defined Plan using the project.
• Preparation of legally binding contract for
timber sale and liaising with the buyer on
behalf of the seller/owner which is the
Forestry Agency of the state where I was
working.
• Managing and supervising the harvesting
operations and timber security and inspecting
them.
• Controlling illegal logging and forest crime.
• Marking of Forest stands, scheduled for
Logging.
• Planning and organization of Logging.
• Preparing assignments for Forest plans and
programs for taking of investments in Forest
Activating territories.
• Preparing Projects and assignments for
Protection against Erosion, and biological
reconstruction of disturbed Lands.
• Thinning control according to the
recommended prescription and the correct
intensity volume, and type of trees removed.
• Finally Closing off the forest-sites, sales and record keeping of all timber and wood utilized.
• Preparing replanting plan for regenerating in the place of harvested and cut off tree-territories
according to the plan prepared.
• Looking after and controlling conservation areas and Management of Forestry areas.
• Fire Fighting Prevention and suppression
work to see if operations are in line with the
contract.
Besides these I had also been engaged in
voluntary tree planting and afforestation in
disturbed and contaminated industrial areas near
my working place, Pirdop. The area was left after
mining and extraction activities. As an example,
there were planted oak species /Quercus/ and
other Broadleaf trees which are native trees and
can survive and grow contaminated area after land
Preparation reclamation and melioration. And
these was done in respect to environmental
regulations and practices with which all the works should complied with. My IT skill includes using
ARCGIS Programme for Environmental and
sustainability practices beside Microsoft office
Programmes-Word, Excel, Power-Point.
Except my professional carrier, I have been
engaging in voluntary social activity in helping the homeless, addicted people for their healing,
restoration, and being a good citizen of the world. Education
University of Forest technology BSc (upper
second-class Honour).
