To Jan,

I am excited to apply for the Placement Advisor role with the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology at Humber Polytechnic.

As a compassionate, patient community advocate, I am enthusiastic to bring my skills and strengths to working with students in pursuing their academic success. I am particularly interested in this position because I will have the opportunity to work with students who face challenges in navigating the Workplace, in order to be able to find a path of Success! So that they can find a Eustress path, and “Be inspired to be the best they can be!”. The Work placement at The Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology has a spirit of collaboration, empathy and advocacy inspires me to want to contribute to making a difference in the experience of students, also!

My experience in the Social Service Worker Diploma Program has allowed me to develop knowledge and competencies including a strength-based approach towards collaborating with others along with an unconditional positive regard to each person with whom I interact. My years in the Employment industries as an Account Manager, Recruiter, Employment Consular, and Manager has provided me with both knowledge and skills that would allow me to be able to guide the students in the program. My over 35 plus years of Coaching from High School to the University Level, has allowed me to develop the skill to be able to help my player be the best that they can be! The ability to think outside of the Box and be encouraged to take the initiative to way their own path!

Years of training working with individuals with disabilities and other Challenges has uniquely prepared me to understand and be responsive to these populations. Previous roles have allowed me to develop an inclusive approach to supporting others.

Thank you for taking the time to review my application; I look forward to discussing this opportunity further with you.
