I have been a project manager on institutional and departmental grants, exhibits, presentations and inventories. I have a knack for organization and enjoy bringing order to chaos.
I can transfer analog video, film, audio and still photos to appropriate digital audiovisual formats, using the associated software, hardware and other interfaces required to link and/or access them. I am highly adaptable to new technologies and applications.
I was involved as team leader or team member, in selecting and modifying systems that will standardize operations for the entire institution: collections management, and digital asset management. I am also adept at analog to digital time-based media transfers and migration, with related capture, encoding and tapeless storage elements.
I am a team builder with outstanding communication abilities, both oral and written. I am an excellent researcher, extremely well organized, capable of prioritizing, managing and supervising, numerous personnel and complex projects simultaneously.
As the most recent archive created at the Missouri History Museum, I had full responsibility for developing, recommending and implementing all the policies and procedures for the Museum’s Moving Image and Sound Collections, based on contemporary best practices in in a multi- discipline environment, which included production documents, still photography and three- dimensional objects, as well as a wide variety of moving image and sound formats.
I’ve hired, trained and supervised researchers, catalogers and media preservationists at three places of employment. I am also effective in screening, selecting and supervising vendors.
I have over 25 years’ experience in multi-discipline archives, and production environments.

Missouri History Museum – Saint Louis, MO
I archived, administered and curated the Moving Image and Sound Collections at the Missouri History Museum. My responsibilities included: recruiting, selecting and supervising interns and volunteers for a wide variety of departmental projects and tasks, including inventory, cataloging, re-housing and collection arrangement. I developed, instituted and executed departmental policies and procedures for moving images and sound collections in a collaborative environment, which included consideration of and provisions for, furthering institutional initiatives. I participated in daily operations and special projects in public service, media licensing and reference assistance to producers, researchers and the general public. I was responsible for collection development and acquisitions including donor relations, appraisal, accessioning, inventory, preservation triage, arrangement and housing of collections. I digitally mastered, reformatted and stored digital media elements. I consulted with institutional colleagues; our oral historian, exhibits media developer and documentarian on the preservation of our born digital video. I participated in divisional and institutional projects and initiatives, especially exhibits. I was the media department’s coordinator, on the team which built a new Collection management system and integrated it with our Digital Asset Management System.
