• Conduct project specific safety orientations for all workers and visitors prior to commencement of work on the project.
• Perform thorough HSE training as required for workers, foremen and supervisors.
• Organize field crew daily toolbox meeting PSI’s, FLHA’s, equipment inspections.
• Assist operators regarding equipment inspections and follow-up on noted deficiencies.
• Complete weekly site inspections and correct any unsafe conditions when possible and report any uncorrected conditions to superintendent and supervisors to implement control measures.
• Conduct formal project inspections with supervisors and workers to ensure hazards are identified and corrective action plans are developed and implemented.
• Notify operators, supervisors, and visitors of any unsafe work conditions.
• Drager 6000 certified to conduct pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
• Administer on-site post incident drug and alcohol testing or reasonable cause for breach of A&D policy.
• Participate in all toolbox meetings to provide safety communications to all workers and supervisors.
• Generate, communicate, and post ERP and other related emergency documentation, bulletins and notices.
• Attend all incidents, perform investigations, and generate reports to determine root cause in preparation to implement a corrective action plan. Conduct SCAT reports as required.
