Please take a moment to read this page first!

I am attaching this to go in from of my resume and cover letter. I have been blessed to have had excellent training, that is not provided currently by most companies, and 30 years of excellent experience in the sales and service industry.

But here comes the hard part. I do not want companies thinking that I am overqualified. I am currently looking to work, for the next 10 to 15 years, for a company that will enjoy my work standards and will be that company that I will be proud working for. That is really hard to list in a resume.

I have worked inside and outside sales and service. I have travelled a lot of miles. I have worked a lot of hours. I have not called in “sick”. AND I have always posted great numbers. So, I am looking for the same kind of company that does not have a 98% turn-over rate. They don’t combine ALL of the following:

1099

Commission only

No benefits

Provides no leads

I can deal with one or two of the above, but I want the company to have a solid enough base to be able to grab a super-star, like myself, for a good price.

Finally, if your company really wants to make a great addition to your team, please call or at least text me directly if you want to get this employer/employee relationship started up.

Sincerely,

David W. Butcher

Here’s to a great 2019 and beyond for all of us!

I hope that as my final employer, your company will have the desire to hire the ultimate producer who is highly trained, has strong work ethics, and additionally has that competitive drive to be the your top producer … as much as I want to put my heart into a great company.

It was very fortunate that I started my career in sales in 1986, when companies would put new employees through six to ten weeks of thorough training. Not only was there phenomenal training on the product/service being offered, but a large part of the training would cover many more features on how to be an excellent sales consultant. The benefits to me were incredible and have followed me throughout my career. The following are examples of such training that I was blessed to have received:

How to get past gate-keepers

How to get all the decision makers wanting to meet with me

How to start with more general close-ended questions followed by intriguing open-ended questions that enabled me to listen and pick up valuable information

How to make trial closes throughout the presentation

How to know when to ask for the order

How to overcome objections (realizing there is no objection that cannot be overcome and how to discern the true objection)

Even though there are countless additional strengths that any successful sales consultant needs, it was certainly beneficial I started this career with an abundance of excellent coaching and teaching. I greatly anticipate finding as much enthusiasm coming on board with your company as you will find having me becoming your top team-player.

Sincerely,

David W. Butcher
