PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Magna Lowell, MA December 2018 – present

Principal Software System Engineer

Contributed to industry leading radar systems development, that provide a variety of active safety features, which are essential to the advancement of autonomous driving and occupant protection.

• Significantly enhanced multi-sensor ADAS capability by engineering a distributed fusion tracking system on Qualcomm Snapdragon platforms as well as Magna proprietary central computing platform, contributing to the advancement of autonomous driving technologies.

• Provided technical support to product demos and Consumer Electronics Show, including software build, installation instruction and configuration, data analysis and error diagnose, system trouble shooting.

• Engaged in collaborations in an international teamwork environment, including weekly online sync up with French, Germany and Indian teams, regular online conversation, as well as international business travel.

• Built desktop test benches for multiple generations of radar sensor software bench tests, largely facilitated real-time sensor software performance monitoring, benchmarking and quick assertion diagnosis.

• Built matlab to automate the process from perform sensor software benchmark test, data processing to PowerPoint reports generation. Greatly increased the efficiency and reduces the time of quality control of the software engineering releases.

• Reduced unit test design time by automating software unit test case generation, improving overall software reliability.

MITRE Corp. Bedford, MA July 2010 – November 2018

Lead Software System Engineer

Made contributions to US Air Force acquisition programs as well as DARPA R&D programs. Two Director Awards and multiple Sparc Awards.

• Rapidly developed software for critical DARPA System of Systems Integration Technology and Experimentation program. Enabled systems to interact during time critical, high pressure large-scale integration events and flight tests. Received highly complementary feedback from the DARPA Program Manager and was honored with the MITRE Director Award.

• Developed and leveraged a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach and built the Government Reference Architecture, for USAF Next-Generation Radar System acquisition program, as well as USAF Surveillance and Target Attack Radar System acquisition program. The sponsor got deeper understanding of the system behavior and requirements and cost of the capabilities.

• Developed the software implementation of the model using SysML, IBM Rhapsody and Java programming, provided automation support so the sponsor can rapidly and accurately assess the engineering products from competing contractors, helped the successful competing of System Requirements Reviews, System Functional Reviews and Preliminary Design Reviews for each contractor in short time.

• Developed Presidential National Voice Conferencing Tool for Family of Advanced Beyond Line-of- Sight Terminals (FAB-T) Program, enabled the contractor to monitor and diagnose key components of the FAB-T system. Conducted software complexity analysis and performance reviews of the contractor's software deliverables, provided enhancement recommendations. Offered advisory suggestions to promote best practices in software development operations. Received the MITRE Spot Award.
