Blue Dog also features an award winning Sunday Brunch Buffet. Blue Dog Cafe has won several awards along the years. Most recently, Times Best of Acadiana. In 2013 Blue Dog Cafe received Best Brunch, Best Cajun, and Best Bartender.

Ordered all liquor, wine, and beer.

Created new wine list featuring over 2 dozen wines handpicked by myself. Created a unique specialty drink menu.

Created a new beer selection including over 3 dozen bottled beers, and 6 beers on tap. Set up sales incentive programs for bartenders and servers. Implemented cleaning schedules and duties.

Held wine tastings for wait staff.

Managed a team of 6 bartenders and 4 barbacks. i.e. made sure all bartenders were knowledgeable and performed up to standards.

Managed overall cleanliness, organization, and stocking of the bar. As well as managing the bar and its employees, I also personally set up and broke down the bar M-F. Served tables 2-3 nights a week as a closer.

Closed the shift for entire FOH. Managed wait staff completing their end of shift duties. i.e. check out sections. As a closer, I would have the last hour’s worth of tables. Worked offsite catering events.
