GOAL

I have well over 20 years in General Contracting, management as owner of a Flooring company, have also had positions and have my MHIC sales license along with some other credentials listed below. My main background is construction, and project management and I’m not turning my back on it,however, recently I have ventured into the culinary industry. Responsibilities but not limited to….
Learning the importance of cleanliness and sanitation around food.
Trained true sanitation is accomplished by changing sanitation water
Prepped fresh and frozen chicken and cooked in deep fryer
Prepped fries which includes cutting them from whole potatoes, blanched them, covering them until achieved temp, and finally cooking them
Learned how to make certain sauces that had to be freshly made (ranch/certain wing sauces)

Learned how soda machine and CO2 works and how to change them out
Was trained of the importance on the raw meat standard, how to handle it, store it and was trained on the different diseases that can sometimes cause fatal effects
Was trained in all cleaning products, their usage and understanding proper storage and to be very careful to not cause contamination on food surfaces
Making sure customer service was number; sometimes putting forth a little effort goes a long way.
I believe Customer Service is just as important of how the food taste and should compliment each other

Cooked a variety of dishes all made to order and menu was very diverse meaning cooked anything from a New York Strip, pork chop,lamb all the way to Burgers, crabcakes,wings, complete Deli menu, and custom dishes
Made sure cooking area was clean and sanitized and that all meats were at their proper temperature
Was trained regarding all of our cleaning supplies including usage and storage
Was trained with the importance of knowing how to keep certain raw meats away from each other to prevent cross contamination.

Responsible for recording and placement of hundreds of items from 1-2 truck loads a week
Kept warehouse in order and sectioned by product and SKU
Spent half of my time in the warehouse and the other half out on floor walking aisles making sure everyone was doing what was required.

Constantly picked up items that customers played with or took to another aisle and placed them in the correct spot
Was responsible to plan out what the “Item of the week”would be to boost sales. This included making sure we had enough of that product, choosing the placement of the item for maximum exposure, creating the design of the display and making sure every customer was aware of the special.
Making sure the bales of cardboard we made gets picked up on time to prevent overcrowding and fire hazard.
