EXPERIENCE
Compass Connection June 2024 to March 2025--Fairfield, Ca While employed at Compass I was a case manager where I managed the cases of the minors on my caseload. I was in charge of seeking sponsors for the children completing all the needed paperwork for this sponsorship. I also accessed all information for the child's criminal cases or immigration cases and wrote reports about traumatic experiences that the children may have experienced. During my tenure I also prepared paperwork for the child's placement within our shelters and prepared paperwork to transfer the child to other shelters within the United States.

In the TUSD I am in charge of providing academic support to my TK–2nd grade Special Education students. I teach all academic subjects across all grade levels of the class. In the class I implement NCI (Non-Crisis Intervention) strategies if they become frustrated. I created a fun and safe learning environment for the class where the students felt cared for.

I Taught in the district’s elementary PERL classroom (Program for Effective Relationships and Learning). This program is a behavior modification-based program where the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles are utilized daily to assist the students in meeting their academic and social emotional needs. During my time teaching these students, I taught math, English language arts, science, social studies, and social skills using district and Selpa adopted curriculum. While teaching in the PERL classroom I received training in the NCI training (Non-Crisis Intervention) where I learned how to deescalate a student and how to keep a student safe through trained restraints.

I reported to different schools daily where I utilized the lesson plans left by the classroom teacher. I worked in all grade levels and taught most all academic subjects.
