- Applied Materials is a $12 billion designer and manufacturer of microchip producing equipment whose two-fold increase in business over an 18 month period caused supplier capacity constraints. My consulting approach generated process changes that reduced 6200 daily supplier backorders to 450 while reducing average backorder age from 9.5 to 3.7 days. 1995 - 2000: MANAGER, CORPORATE PURCHASING - ACQUISITIONS, JOINT VENTURES AND EMERGING MARKETS - Racine, WI
- Performed due diligence on 6 acquisitions and integrated supply chain activities to Case formats and methodologies. Conducted Supplier Quality, Delivery and Cost Improvement Workshops, facilitated Value Analysis / Value Engineering sessions, and performed Rapid Improvement Events with all of the above. Additionally, conducted the above at 8 N.A.CASE operating locations, 8 European and 2 Australian venues, as well as a two year assignment performing these activities in Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina. Conducted Purchasing Operations Reviews at all N.A operations.

- Commodity managed machined parts, metal fabrications, and electro-hydraulic systems while directing and actively participating in the strategic sourcing team process and supplier quality assurance audits on the suppliers representing these components. Personally negotiated long term agreements with the resulting suppliers of the process where annualized cost improvement netted $23 million, and supplier warranty claims and supplier reimbursement for line down time relating to delivery and quality were remedied.
