•Perform all duties related to preparation and dispensing of medication orders.
•Read individual prescriptions and determine the name of the drug, strength, and dosage of drug to be dispensed and correlate instructions on the prescription with pharmacy policy limitations and note same on the prescription.

•Triage all outdated medications to determine proper disposition (destruction or credit returns) and prepare necessary paperwork to initiate proper action.
•Receive supplies and check deliveries against requisitions.
•Check drug stock for shortages, breakage, deterioration or discrepancies and report such to Pharmacist.
•Perform computer entry of different types of data into various program applications on the computer.
•Consult with the pharmacist to prevent inventory problems and prepare requisitions accordingly.
•Place supply orders through mandatory government and non-government sources. This includes data entry into computer applications for figuring the total dollar value and generating a quarterly report.
•Make necessary changes to quantities requested depending on stock levels to avoid total depletion and notify the pharmacist of any discrepancies found in the requisition.
