• Learning common lab techniques and attending the drug development project meetings. o Performing cell culture of adhesive and suspension cell lines: GL261 murine glioma cells and primary glioblastoma patient-derived cells (08-387) o Passaging, counting cells, plating in different plates (6 well, 96 well, flasks) o Conducting MTS assay on GL261 cells: seeding cells in four different 96-well plates, in quadruplicate, at multiple concentrations per well and observing cell viability at 24, 48, 72, and 96 hours.
o Conducting MTS assay on GL261 and 08 387 cells with Temozolomide (TMZ) to study the sensitivity of these 2 cells lines to TMZ.
o Treating GL261 cells with both TMZ and different radiation doses (Gy) then conducting MTS assay to compare cell viability.
