SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITY:
Safety supervision, direction and coordination of project works and all safety related activities on site.
Guiding supervisors and partaking in conduction of tools box talks at work sites.
Training and provision of safety orientation for employees at project sites.
Preparing of daily, weekly and monthly Health and Safety reports.
Ensuring fully compliance of all permit conditions at different work locations/ zones.
Monitoring and implementation of Simultaneous Operations, HSE project plans, permit to Work system, Task Risk Assessment and Emergency Procedure Plans.
HSE daily inspections, risk findings and informing concerned supervisors for immediate actions and generating of reports of such incidents.
Updating of HSE documentations during construction phase when necessary.
Identifying areas to which preventions must be addressed and keeping of accident records.
Carrying out regular gas testing before any work commences
Participating in all relevant HSE meetings.
Organizing, planning and participating periodic Health and Safety walk around project sites.

Inspection of documents like MSDS, permits and equipment checklists and site equipment’s like scaffolds, Ladders, slings, housekeeping, storage materials and chemicals etc.
Verification of site HSE plans applications, adequacy and all related procedures.
Monitoring and inspection of equipment and heavy lifting operations, lifting accessories are safe and valid document of machinery and operator are provided.
Checklist maintenance and inspecting portable power tools like welding machines, grinding machines, Electrical equipment’s etc.
Proper cooperation with clients concerning the issuing of necessary work permits. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS DECKHAND/FIRE WATCH:
Maintaining the requirement and conditions stated on the approved permit
Watch keeping of fire or any hazard on-board during work project by employees.
Ensuring all workers are aware of exact location of fire equipment’s and emergency escape routes
Ensuring flammables materials are kept away from ignition sources.
Inspection of the entire work area and looking out for potential release of flammable gas and liquid before and during shifts
Ensuring route of escape are always clear and not obstructed
Identifying the fire call points, stop work and ensuring all workers are evacuated when alarm sounds.
Ensuring area monitoring detectors, firefighting equipment’s are in good condition and hydrants hoses are well tested before starting any hot work project.
Ensuring fire extinguisher and blankets are in good condition and located very close to the work area.
Performing of mock drills, regular inspection and proper usage of fire equipment’s.
