Previous Work Experience
Pap Specialist, Northshore Respiratory - AdaptHealth
Slidell, LA
As a Pap Specialist, I educated patients on obstructive sleep apnea, fitted patients for CPAP masks, programmed their machines per their provider’s prescription, and educated the patient on how to use their new APAP, BIPAP, or CPAP machine. I followed up with each patient to ensure the patient was doing well with their CPAP therapy. I also followed the patients’ initial compliance period to ensure they remained on track with their therapy.
I cleaned returned equipment, and setup machines for hospice patient deliveries. I kept track of CPAP supplies and submitted lists for supply and equipment needs on a weekly basis. I had the opportunity for several months to work as the Pap Specialist at the Baton Rouge location two days a week while simultaneously working at the Slidell branch, as well as working on contacting patients and scheduling them for virtual setups organizing their documentation and sending them their machines and masks, all of which I enjoyed. I had the opportunity to travel to several different branches, and was able to fill in for other Pap Specialists when necessary. I scheduled patient setups for my branch as well as other branches. I called patients to confirm appointments. I placed orders for patients’ supplies as needed. I participated in inventory weekly, monthly and quarterly. Weekly, I would briefly go through inventory of the Pap supplies and create a supply order list to send to the warehouse. I also handled many other tasks and projects outside of the scope of my job description including but not limited to handling the compliance binder. I enjoyed working at AdaptHealth. It gave me an opportunity to learn new things everyday and to gain valuable knowledge and experience. I am grateful for the time I spent working at AdaptHealth.
