Operation and Maintenance:

• Responsible for day-to-day maintenance of the entire field Instruments (PT’s, DPT’s, TT’s, FT’s, LT’s, Control Valves, Shut-down Valves, Online Analyzers, etc.)

• Accountable for High Technical Integrity of all Field Equipment & Preventive Maintenance Planning resulting in minimum Break down Maintenance.

• Involved in preparing the database of SAP for preventive maintenance module.

• Preparation of Material Codes in SAP for spare management of instruments.

• Responsible for reviewing and performing all aspects of Instrumentation and co-ordinate Preventive and corrective work orders for instruments.

• Planning and Execution of new projects as per MOC.

• PTW holder for issuing and receiving all types of permits.

• Upgrading, licensing of various Testing tools and Measuring Instrument to be used in the field

• Coordinating Vendors and AMC Contractors as per scheduled PM jobs.

• Responsible for maintaining the Steam turbine operated pumps.

• Responsible for maintaining the PM activities of Gas Turbine Generator with Compressor for Zero downtime of the Plant.

• Conducted major shutdown jobs for Siemens Energy SGT 400 and SGT 300 Series Gas Turbines.

Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning phase:

• Pre-Commissioning activities involve review of the documents: Instrument data sheets, P&IDs (piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), Wiring Diagrams, Loop diagrams, Hook- up drawings, and Control system manuals.

• Inspection and verification of Equipments, instruments and control devices to ensure they are installed correctly.

• Verifying cabling and wiring installations (signal, power, and communication).

• Ensuring proper integration between field instruments and control panels.

• System Configuring of instruments like pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, flow meters, and control valves in the DCS (Distributed Control System) or PLC (Programmable Logic Controller).

• Checking communication protocols such as HART, Modbus, Fieldbus, or Profibus.

• Ensuring all instruments is calibrated according to manufacturer specifications and system requirements, Calibration of transmitters, controllers, and other sensors.

• Commissioning activities involve the installation, testing, calibration, and validation of instruments and control systems to ensure that they operate according to specifications and requirements.

• The goal of commissioning is to ensure that the system works reliably and safely in the operational environment.

• Involved in Calibration of instruments, checking installation of equipment, cold-hot loop checks, functionality test, and I/O list checks of field instruments.

• Instrument and Control System Integration verifying that field devices such as sensors, valves, and actuators are correctly wired to the control system.

• Verifying I/O points in the DCS or PLC and ensuring proper communication with field devices.

• Functional Testing of each instrument to confirm that the system works according to design specifications.

• Ensuring control loops and shutdown systems respond correctly to inputs from field devices.

• Control and Safety System Checks verifying that safety interlocks, shutdown systems, and alarm systems are correctly implemented and functioning.

• Testing Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD) and verifying trip settings.

• Control System Tuning adjusting control parameters in the DCS/PLC (like PID loop tuning) to optimize system performance.

Turn Around and Shutdown phase:

• Planning the Schedule of work and arranging the workforce as per the priority of the job completion.

• Involved in monitoring of the Supervisor team for completing the date wise job schedule during shutdown period.

• Regular update of the completion of job and maintaining the report for future reference.

• Providing the safe working environment for the man force to complete the job with 100% effectiveness.

• Upgradation of recent technology, field instruments and system for achieving the effective functioning of up-to-date technology.

• Involved in various turnaround activities like calibration of instruments, checking of installation of equipment, Loop checks, Functionality test.

• Installation of 36 new thermo-well, thermocouples and cable laying done by removing the existing one in the reformer area with the plan to complete the task in allotted time.

• Upgradation of the Peak 150 Governor Control system and Bently Nevada vibration monitoring systems for various high-capacity pumps.

• Involved in C&E checks of pump skids, F&G system.

• All the fisher control valves up-gradation from linked Positioner to link less noncontact (magnetic) type for DVC 6200.

• All the Critical ON-OFF/SDV/BDV valves, Control valves services done with changing the soft kit and trim parts in the workshop with the help of 3 rd

party and

maintaining the data base for the same.

• All the Anti-surge valves of the Turbine Compressors are calibrated, and calibration record is maintained for future Reference.

• In the marshalling cabinet all the MTL barriers upgraded for temperature and vibration monitoring of the Bently Nevada system I/O Cards.

• Team of 30 members including 12 Technician, 3 Supervisor and helpers managed to give them the plan for day-by-day task and complete the work in the Planning time hours throughout the turnaround phase.

• Maintaining a record of all the Turnaround jobs with calibration records and to ensure the system Ready for Start-Up (RFSU) Phase with high Technical Integrity of all equipment.
