PROFILE
I've been working in the food service industry for 20 plus years, doing everything from washing dishes, serving, cooking, and even owning my own small eatery. All Of my experience has given me a chance to work in many different situations and with many different types Of people. I have learned so much more than I ever thought working in the food industry from how to create menus and dishes every one will love to dealing with patrons or clients who are the reason I love doing what I do. I have a passion for feeding people and I am hoping to expand my career in the food business.
EXPERIENCE
Food Services Director, Carbon County Correctional Facility, Nesquehoning, Pa 2019-2021 Overseen the entire kitchen operations as well as 5 female inmates. I was responsible for the budget, ordering, interviewing and hiring staff, and day to day menus. During my employment here the prison received a perfect health inspection for the first time ever!
Kitchen Manager, Lynnville Hotel, New Tripoli, Pa 2018-2019
I helped the owner open up an existing kitchen attached to a bar. I helped create a menu and recipes that were sure to please the bar patrons. I overseen daily kitchen operations, did all prep work and cooked every order that came through the kitchen. I also maintained a clean and safe work environment for myself and the one other staff member we had.

In this position I was responsible for feeding 40 residents at a dementia care facility. I overseen all daily kitchen operations as well as two additional kitchen staff. I did all the food ordering, checking in, and stocking our pantry. I designed the menus, all 30 days in advance with strict nutritional guidelines in place. I was able to successfully follow dietary restrictions and serve wonderful meals at the same time. I also had to maintain a safe and clean working environment and pass a serve safe course.

As owner Of a small eatery I had to deal with every aspect Of opening a location, making a menu, pricing, food costs, staffing, and overall customer satisfaction. As we grew busier I had received nothing but positive feedback from patrons. Unfortunately because Of my full time position at cornerstone I wasn't able to do both so I had to make the difficult decision to close my doors and do what made sense financially for me and my family, however it was a great experience and something I'm very proud Of.

I have 20+ years experience in many different types Of food service that allows me to easily adjust in any environment and work easily with anyone. I have my servsafe certificate and I am very good at remaining calm and focused during highly stressful situations. I am able to use any type Of kitchen equipment and I'm able to maintain a budget and figure out food costs as well as following dietary requirements.
