Real Estate Appraiser Assistant & Right of Way Specialist (License # 005164) Appraised
real estate for mortgage lenders, private individuals and government agencies for loan
purposes, for listing real estate and investment purposes. Assisted in appraising both
commercial and residential properties. Worked with different zoning county ordinances,
and county courthouse records. Negotiated real estate for acquisition purposes for City of

March 1985-June 1991 - Georgia Department of Transportation, Chamblee, Georgia.
Right-of-Way Specialist II- Negotiated right-of-way for the Department of Transportation.
Appraised partial land for acquisition purposes in order to determine the fair market value.
Negotiated and appraised temporary easements, fee simple acquisitions. Assisted in
providing relocation assistance for property owners affected by GADOT.
Assisted the closing attorneys in closing right-of-way acquisition properties acquired.
Completed property research by use of recorded deeds at the County Courthouses.
Worked with DOT Engineering ROW Maps and Cross Sections pertaining to the
designs of the new proposed road widening projects. Explained DOT ROW maps to

Attended public hearing meeting outlining new proposed road widening changes with
properties affected by DOT road widening projects. Negotiated with public utility

at 404-***-**** with details of what my responsibilities were with the Department. Made
sure, that the appraisal reports submitted by independent fee appraisals met Federal and State guidelines. Made recommendations on how to review appraiser reports from independent fee appraisers. This project lasted for three months.

Estimated market value of residential properties for property tax assessment purposes.
Handled taxpayer’s complaints and concerns about their property tax values. Completed field inspections to update county records on new constructions which consisted in measuring the
structure to determine the total square footage and new additions. Worked in the field-book
section by making changes and redrawing the new tax maps districts and land lots based on
the new ownership’s changes within the county and city for one year. Passed both the Georgia Revenue required certification appraiser courses I and II.
