I am self-motivated and goal-focused, meaning that when there is a task, I ensure that I work extremely hard to complete it. I like to keep my eye on the objective and develop the routines necessary to achieve the goal at hand. This has resulted in me earning several academic achievement awards while attending Delaware Tech and Delaware State University. Awards such as Dean’s list, basketball championships, and desirable GPAs have been a few of accomplishments that I earned throughout my time as a student. This has also led me to finish my academic career while maintaining a 3.0 or higher overall GPA throughout my entire educational career. My most recent degree was my Bachelor’s in Psychology from Delaware State University. When there is a team objective at hand, my leadership skills and problem-solving tactics have proven to be effective in helping a variety of teams become successful. This is presented in my leadership on the basketball court as well as my work with several agencies such as Sevita Healthcare and CHIMES Delaware. I have been privileged to be able to provide counseling, mentorship and social work for mentally disabled clients. . Much of who I am, besides my education and occupation, is framed by what I learned during my time being a mentee of several great professionals in our world. Through the training incorporated through my experience with mentoring, I learned the importance of social responsibility, personal accountability, effective communication, and teamwork. I could say the same of the basketball court where my success became critically tied to the team’s success. Identifying my successes, balanced with how others around me are successful, is one of the qualities I was able to bring to those served at Sevita Healthcare. This style seemed to really help the youth and families recognize their own talents and growth. I believe all the above qualities will prove as strong assets in the role of this position within your organization.
