Work Experience
Department of Health/Pinellas County – Medical Records, Senior Clerk
Responds and processes ROI’s (Releases of Information) requests for information from client’s medical record from the Social Security Administration, Doctor’s Offices/Hospitals and Clinics within the 7-10 business day set timeframe. Mail or fax the ROI information as required.
Receives, opens, sorts and date stamp incoming mail for the unit. Assign requests to the proper staff, ensuring the requests are valid for the correct authorization and current ID.
Served as a front door Covid-19 screener and intake receptionist.
Accessed the Covid-19 database, Merlin, to access, print, and upload lab events, print positive or negative disease results, and various other diseases.

Served as the lead clerical assistant for CMS, opened and closed specialty clinics (i.e., Orthopedics, Neurology, Pulmonology, and Cleft Palate) at All Children’s Hospital, Outpatient Care Center.
Prepared pre-clinic paperwork such as consents, releases, letters, etc., for the CMS nurses and supervisory staff.
