Assist seven cardiology attending physicians and the cardiology research nurse coordinators by providing administrative and secretarial support, including answering phones, typing, scheduling appointments/meetings and maintaining accurate files and records. Assist the Coronary Intensive Care Unit Medical Director by preparing time reports, rotation schedules, informational packets and evaluations for distribution to the resident physicians rotating on the CICU. Receive notification and inform consult physician of cardiology consult requests. Maintain accurate tracking system for cardiology consult requests and prepare billing sheets upon completion of the consult. Monitor and compile admission and discharge statistics for billing purposes. Coordinate billing process for all cardiac patients admitted to the coronary units.
