********@****.**.**
Sir / Madam :
I wish to apply for the position of ECG Technologist. My qualifications include:
Specific training in 12 lead ECG, Holter monitoring and stress ECG testing Experience in testing, both resting and stress ( treadmill) ECG's CTAO certification # 1162
Training in echocardiography ( 2D, Doppler and color Doppler) Qualifications in First Aid, CPR, ACLS, ATLS and PALS Bachelor's degrees in the arts and sciences, with numerous post-degree courses Completed Sleep Medicine Program at the Michener Institute Phlebotomy course from the Michener Institute
Pulmonary function testing course
Sterile Processing Technician Certificate from Fanshawe College During my training I have participated in numerous simulations such as would be encountered in this position. I also work at times with medical students in a cardiology setting and find great satisfaction in helping to train the next generation I am willing to cross-train into other specialties if this suits your requirements. Continuous self-improvement is a commitment of mine. An example is the Holter monitoring course at the Michener Institute. Another previous position had me performing stress tests on a part-time basis at clinics in Oakville and Toronto. This is evidence that I can be trained rapidly to perform the tasks you desire. It also shows my ability in imaging modalities, a good knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and skills with pattern interpretation. I was taking a course at York College in echocardiography, but it has gone bankrupt. I am now seeking a new position. I reside in Hamilton and am working part-time performing Holter and event recorder analysis but get few hours. I also perform volunteer work at a cardiology clinic in Hamilton on a part-time basis, taking patient histories and interpreting ECGs.
My recreational activities include running, triathlon and other such physical endeavors. I would be willing to relocate.
Awaiting your reply,
MICHAEL CAREY
