Details of Work Experience

Worked as QA/QC (Mechanical) Engineer for 14 years in oil and gas.

Coating Inspection Responsibilities:

Executes the specific inspection on materials, equipment and construction/ installation activities on site.

Issues with the relevant quality records and, when necessary, write and send quality control supervisor non-conformance reports.

Control of storage and certification of consumables.

Performs qualifications of coating processes.

Checks surface preparation.

Ensured abrasive blasting and coating activities are carried out as per the contractual requirements and specification guidelines.

Checks and records atmospheric conditions prior to starting of painting operations.

Carries out wet and dry film thickness checks.

Monitoring observations of correct coding cycles.

Verifies the correct color- coding and painting.

Performs visual checks after blasting.

Carried out inspection duties for holiday testing.

Undertake coating inspection hold points for all coating projects according to Client specifications and ensure that the job was done safe and according to budget.

Process Piping & Pipeline (as per API 1104, ASME B31.3):

Review and approval of WPS & PQR.

Inspection of piping fabrication, erection and welding at site and workshop.

Inspection of valve testing activities.

Review and approve welding inspection reports.

Check the welding parameters according to WPS.

Fit up checking.

Witness of hydro test, pneumatic test and leak test.

Internal cleaning by water flashing, air blowing, pigging and drying.

Valve Testing

Responsible for valve testing activities.

Review of supplier datasheets, drawings, repairs and test procedures.

Co-ordinally following the prepared ITP and test procedures for pressure safety valves and control valves based on project requirement.

Monitoring of repair activities of mechanical, control valves and various types of actuators as per standard and customer specification.

Coordination with Clients and third parties for the witnessing of new valves.

Review WPS/PQR.

Control of welding activities in accordance with approved WPS and PQR.

Witness the welder's performance qualification test in accordance with ASME Sec. IX and specifications.

Interpretation of RT films, ASME section VIII Div. 1, API1104.

Code knowledge i. e., ASME B31.3, AWS D1.1, API 1104, API510, API570 and API 653.

Preparation of vendor evaluation reports.

Checking project specification compliance at the quotation stage.

Conducting quality audits of vendors /suppliers and sub-contractors.

Documentation review (QCP, ITP, method statements as per project specification)

Qualification and certification of welders as per ASME Sec IX.

Visual Inspection according to code and standards.

Review of reports of PWHT and Hardness test.
