Edgewood Country is a premier country club that was established in 1928 in Commerce Township. Truly a home away from home atmosphere, Edgewood offers a beautiful 18-hole championship golf course, a full service clubhouse with multiple dining and banquet outlets, a newer pool with a full service pool-side bar, quick service grill and fitness facility.

Accomplishments:

●Conducted an introductory meeting with long term staff to set 1-year goals for the operation

●Produced a series of subtle service upgrades including new uniforms, new hostess model and a new food runner position

●Recruited and introduced level one and level two interns to fill multiple positions and established a recurring opportunity for college students

●Upgraded the wine program with improved "by the glass/house pours" and a more diverse balance of regions and varietal

●Worked with the Executive Chef to generate the appropriate revisions to the banquet/event menus to be more cost effective while diversifying offering

A Platinum Club, Bloomfield Hills Country Club is a premier private club in Michigan with 284 members and an 18-hole championship golf course designed by some of the finest golf course architects including H.S. Colt and Donald Ross. The clubhouse is currently under a major renovation. Upon completion, June 1, 2017 this renovation will provide a new second floor with a Ballroom (250 seats) Lounge (30 seats), H.S. Colt Lounge (50seats) which create a Grand Ballroom (330 seats). There will also be an indoor dining room (50 seats), covered patio/balcony dining room (50 seats) as well as new executive offices and two lodging rooms. Main floor hosts our Centennial Grille Dining Room (50 seats), Terrace Room (40 seats), Outdoor Patio (80 seats) as well as our Ladies Locker Room, Ladies Locker Room Lounge, Greenside Room (40 seats) and the primary kitchen.

Accomplishments:

●Worked with Jerry McVety of McVety and Associates regarding a member survey to generate a strategy for the food and beverage operations to achieve the requested goals derived from the survey

●Achieved budget goals for year ending bar cost percentage

●Developed a new member wine locker program to generate more interaction for the Club wine usage

●Worked directly with management and contractors for a $5.5 million dollar clubhouse renovation project crucial to dining/event areas, storage, point-of-sale system, offices, lodging.

Affectionately known as “The Little Club,” the Grosse Pointe Club truly offers a home away from home to its members, their families and guests. Each area of the Club is an intimate setting that offers exquisite food and exemplary service. This private member-owned club has 240 members and a clubhouse with three dining rooms, four banquet rooms, two bars, two living rooms and two outdoor patios’. The Club also has two Har-Tru clay tennis courts, paddle tennis courts, a swimming pool and a poolside dining Pavilion. There is also a 76 slip harbor to offer a boating amenity. Annual revenue is $1.4 million.

Accomplishments

●Worked with the chef and the clubhouse manager to generate more comprehensive inventory controls to bring costs within the budgetary guidelines

●Led clubhouse, pool and harbor projects that have generated notable improvements to both aesthetics and operations

Private member-owned club with a total of 750 members. Total gross revenues of over $8 million with food and beverage revenues exceeding $3 million. This club was established in 1899 and carries a rich history and tradition along with a 77,000 square foot Albert Kahn clubhouse and a 36 hole championship Donald Ross designed golf course. The clubhouse provides multiple dining outlets including five banquet rooms that seat over 300 along with two indoor and one outdoor dining room’s that seat over 250.

Great Oaks Country Club

Private member-owned club with 420 members in a well-established Oakland County community. Total gross revenues of $3.5 million with food and beverage revenues of $1.5 million. Clubhouse was rebuilt in 1989 with an interior renovation done in 2000. Clubhouse includes beautiful dining and banquet facilities, as well as locker facilities, pro-shop, and a newer swimming pool and tennis courts.

Red Run Golf Club

Private member-owned club with 620 members centrally located in a thriving Metro-Detroit community. Total gross revenues of $3.6 million with food and beverage revenues of $1.75 million. Facilities include a casual dining room, three banquet rooms along with a men’s grill, locker room and workout facility.
