Honorable Discharge at the end of obligated service. During which time I performed all basic seamanship functions aboard ship that involved line or wire rigging used to secure the ship to the pier, mooring, or anchor. Able to identify functions of navigation and shipboard equipment; lowers, raises and launches lifesaving
equipment, handles small boats, navigates by utilizing several types of compasses and maintained records by degrees or points. Knowledge of navigational aids, nautical rules of the road and the buoys of inland waters of the U.S. Knows the nomenclature of decks,
superstructures and parts of the hull. Working
knowledge of the purpose and limitations of first aid to include; treatment for electrical shock, simple and compound fractures, heat exhaustion, heat stroke and burns.
