CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

I am a CBM engineer with M.Eng. in Mechanical (Applied Mechanics and Design) and 14 years experience in an oil and gas sector. Across SPDC various assets in Nigeria, equipment’s reliability, lifespan and mean time before failure (MTBF) have been greatly improved through condition monitoring activities – vibration analysis, and implementation of maintenance recommendations. With the intergration of CBM and Rotating Equipment (RE) team over the past 5 years, I have developed a robust and integral PdM strategy were our critical equipment out of service was reduced from 25% to 15%, effective equipment condition/acceptance test established, and identification of machine bad actors during rotating equipment project phase. This is what the future as a CBM/RE engineer brings and I am ready to chart the course. LANGUAGE SKILLS

VAGAN OIL & GAS LTD – SHELL PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT COMPANY (S.P.D.C.) Contractor Condition Monitoring Engineer (Vibration Analyst) – July 2012 to Date

SPDC and SNEPCO (Bonga FPSO) facilities has recorded significant improvement on equipment mean time between failure (MTBF). Condition monitoring activities – vibration analysis, lube oil analysis review, ultrasound testing, pump efficiency and engine compression test, which I carryout in these assets with proffered maintenance recommendations contributed immensely to this improvement. Rotating equipment under my purview are: generators, compressor, pumps, cooler fans, turbine, internal combustion engines, electric motors, e.t.c. I utilize Emerson MHM software to analyse vibration data collected with CSI 2140.

I optimized vibration data sampling, improved efficiency in diagnoses with asset’s in-situ relateable recommendations through following innovations: 1. Recreated vibration database for tri-axial sensor using equipment schematic diagram as guide. Collection points were marked to enhance repeatability. 2. Successfully lead transition process of tagging and vibration monitoring of the turbine-compressor journal bearings at Agbada and Obigbo Gas Plant. 3. Initiated equipment’s vibration acceptance testing before it leaves workshop.

4. Held masterclasses training on condition monitoring technologies within the team.

Increased BONGA FPSO daily Oil production by 3,491 bbl/d in Q3, 2024. This was achieved by apt utilisation of vibration analysis to diagnose and resolve vibration trips on the GB HSS DE of a Turbine Water-Flood Injection pump used for Oil lift. Also offered a technical support for G.E. FSR at Gbaran-Ubie gas plant in troubleshooting and correction of high 1x vibration amplitude signal on compressor end of the AG- compressor.

Drafted condition monitoring cost saving template for the team and in a year, we achieved about $500K cost saved. In Q1 ’24, catastrophic failure of multi-stage pumps were averted through vibration analysis recommendations with a potential cost of

$815k saved.

Achieved working synergy with condition monitoring team, assets maintenance team and workshop team by holding equipment faults technical review meeting, participate in asset’s Managing Threats and Opportunity (M.T.O.) meetings and equipment Root Cause Analysis (R.C.A.).

Weekly technical engagement with maintenance team across SPDC various assets on critical equipment out of services. Carry out technical integrity verification (TIV) on green field asset and hardware barrier assessment (HBA) on brown field asset. STERLING OIL EXPLORATION AND PRODUCTION COMPANY LIMITED Condition Monitoring Engineer (Short term Consultancy Contract) – Sept. 2023 to Dec. 2023

Successfully set-up and started equipment condition monitoring team as a pioneer department in Alacrity Production System – a gas plant, at kwale, Delta state. I managed, trained and coached a team of six personnel in the condition monitoring techniques – vibration analysis, lube analysis, thermography and ultrasound. The team are efficiently performing equipment condition monitoring activities with success story till date.

HUPE NIGERIA LIMITED

Creation of Equipment Condition Monitoring Database and Offshore Equipment’s Vibration route for Esso Mobil Nigeria Limited, ERHA FPSO Facility.

Collection of vibration data from equipment’s and Interpretation of the signatures for valuable recommendations on its health and predictive maintenance checks.

Team lead in Equipment Condition Monitoring projects. O-SECUL NIGERIA LIMITED

Vibration Analyst – July 2010 to May 2011

Create equipment Vibration route for companies like; Breweries, Cement Factory etc.

Collection of vibration data from equipment and Interpretation of the signatures for valuable recommendations on its health and predictive maintenance checks.
