Responsibilities are as follows. After a solid file comes in I bring the file into Mastercam to prepare for programming. I determine the best way to mill the part from a solid piece of material. At the same time I am designing holding strategies, whether being as simple as holding in vise jaws or a designed fixture for holding multiple parts. I will select the best tooling for the job and place tooling orders. I have a strong understanding of speed and feeds. After I have the job programmed I will create setup sheets for set up guys to follow. I also make detailed work instructions for every step of the job. I will also create process sheets to assure 100% quality throughout the run of the job. Programmer/Setup 5axis machines.
