Contracted by TEKsystems Inc. to assist Nationwide Insurance on the design and development of a custom developed service center software with a budget of $10M. The current system manages $6B in annual revenue therefore a high-quality product and seamless transition to the new system were critical. While overseeing development and testing of the new software, I partnered with the Service Center Director, Managers and support staff. Together, we developed a highly detailed project and implementation plans. Scheduling of subject matter experts (SME) users and pilot teams were critical due to the availability of resources. Led release readiness reviews, milestone reviews and Go/No-Go meetings. To address unplanned development requests from SEC, KPMG (other projects) and State of Ohio (regulatory), I developed a special projects team.

Apex Systems - Columbus, OH

Contracted by Apex Systems Inc. to assist Huntington National Bank with First Merit Bank data integration. Hadoop environment was developed and utilized for long-term storage. I managed all project artifacts (schedule, project plan, issue and risk logs, etc.) in accordance to the direction of the Board of Directors put in-place by the S.E.C.. While demonstrating excellent communication and project management skills, I was asked to simultaneously lead a new regulatory project called The Ohio Pooled Collateral System. The system allows banks to leverage a reduced collateral minimum. For qualifying programs, collateral minimum can be reduced by 50%, freeing up millions that would otherwise be used as collateral. Excellent communication and on-time delivery of connectivity interfaces were critical due to contractual requirements with the State of Ohio. JIRA and Clarity were used to manage efforts and 8 resources.

Contracted by Medasource to work on-site at University Hospitals to enhanced existing Allscripts electronic medical records (EMR) system by adding data output from anesthesia machines from 18 outpatient clinics. Partner with Doctors and other Clinicians to assist in the definition and documentation of business requirements, workflow and interdepartmental SLA’s. Managed project through complete project life-cycle. Teamwork and Scope Management were key success factors for the $16M project. Prepare and deliver a weekly briefing and progress status report that includes risk and issue updates.

Program Manager, Contractor Sep 2014 – Feb 2016

Contracted by Insight Global to assist JPMorgan Chase in the management of program and projects. Program was in-flight for nearly 5 years when I was on-boarded. In less than 9 months, I was able to identify the challenges that prevented forward momentum, closed the gaps and lead my team to implementation. Managing scope creep and getting buy-in to a phased implementation approach were primary success factors.

Managed the development and implementation of a custom in-house built mortgage application that utilized API’s of Oracle Financials to updates to General Ledger (GL) and a $4M Captiva Optical Character Recognition (OCR) project with a combined $9M ROI annually.

Total budget managed $26M and 110k labor hrs. of effort.
